Someone taught me this. I think it is very interesting:
A teaching by a monk whereby he says; "If someone tells you your nose is crooked, why should you get angry? If it is the truth, why get angry with the truth? And if it is not true, why is there the need to be angry?"
Anger management, not that I need one.

I guess I'd be upset because someone pointed out a flaw. Like I'm no perfect man, but to have someone highlight my imperfections, I'd feel more inadequate you know. The inferiority complex then comes more apparent right?
Unless, that is, I've always known I have a crooked nose. :) Then pointing it out would be harmless. (I'll get my nose fixed lahh!)

A nose job! So funny....
Probably it is good to laugh at ourselves sometimes. So life will not be so stressful.
I share your sentiments.
I think sometimes we are just too hard on ourselves and just put ourselves down. I think it takes a lot out of someone to laugh at his folly.
I mean, I'm always walking into walls and tripping onto things. It's highly embarrassing, utterly frustrating and at the end of the day, darn hilarious too! Haha!
By the way, I'm not a therapist. I'm just someone who reads up a lot, I've been through my share of trying moments and still surviving. I feel obliged to help others and it's recovery on my part too. :)
I hope you don't mind my anonymity.
But hey, you're cool. Sports and stuff. :)

I know who you are.

No no.
Trust me, you have NO CLUE who I am.
Actually, I have no clue who I am either. HAHAHAHA!
I'm just a concerned passerby. :)
